Where are Americans moving to, and coming from? Every year, a major national moving company takes a survey of where their clients are moving to and from.
Where is America Moving to?
It seems Americans don’t like the Northeastern part of the country so much anymore. For the fifth year in a row, the Northeast had the highest concentration of households moving out. Congratulations to New Jersey, we were # 1 ! Following were Illinois, New York, Connecticut and Kansas. Much of the outbound activity is attributed to Baby Boomers moving to warmer climates and / or areas with a lower cost of living after they retired
Don’t ask me why, but South Dakota was the busiest for households moving in. After South Dakota was Vermont, Oregon, Idaho and South Carolina.
Where will You go?
Me? I like it here in New Jersey. Where do you want to go?
Are you one of the Americans who will be moving soon? I don’t know whether or not you’ll move soon. However, if you do decide to move, you’ll need to sell your home. And we can help you with that. Call us – call Bunny and Art Reiman – The Adult Community Specialists.
