The National Association of Realtors released a report regarding the length of time a home takes to sell. Nationally, the average days on market in June was 28 days. This is a slight increase from May, which was 27 days. But in June of 2016, it was 28 days.
The report also stated that 54% of the homes for sale, nationally, were on the market for less than one month!
So where does New Jersey stand? New Jersey is in the 30 – 45 day range.
If your home Is for sale, and has been for sale for over 45 days, something is not right. And it’s probably priced too high. Even if it needs work, or is in a bad location, you can overcome these issues by reducing the price.
