Leisure Village Lakewood
Leisure Village Lakewood is an active adult community. It’s a great location because it’s on Route 70 close to the Garden State Parkway. Pursue nearby local activities such as fishing, boating, golf and more. Or walk around the seven lakes in the community.The monthly association fee includes lawn maintenance, snow removal and exterior maintenance of the homes. Built in the late 1960’s, there are over 2400 homes in Leisure Village Lakewood. The homes have either 1 or 2 bedrooms, and some have a garage. Most homes are ground level, however, there are a few homes on the second floor. All homes are attached to other homes.
The Clubhouse
The amenities include bus service, 2 clubhouses, bocci and shuffle board courts. In fact, each clubhouse has an outdoor pool. When you visit the clubhouses, you’ll find over 40 clubs, along with many other activities. Additionally, there’s a 9 hole golf course. Indeed, with billiards, card games, and dance clubs – among others, you’ll never lack for something to do, and someone to do it with.
Transportation
Major roads in the area include the Garden State Parkway (Exit 89) I-195 or Route 70, while Route 9 is nearby.. NJ Transit offers bus service on Route 9, there is also a bus terminal in Lakewood. Ocean Ride also provides bus transportation within Ocean County, with 12 bus routes connecting key residential areas with popular destinations such as shopping, employment, social services and connections to other means of transportation.
