About Country Walk Manchester
Country Walk Manchester (AKA Country Walk at Lake Ridge) is a 55+ Active Adult Over 55 Community in the Whiting section of Manchester, Ocean County. Since there’s a Homeowners Association, the HOA is responsible for lawn maintenance and snow removal. While some of the homes are attached, others are detached. These attached homes have a higher monthly HOA fee, however, the HOA also maintains the exterior of the building. Additionally, your pets are welcome here.

In 2004 construction began in Country Walk Manchester where they built 188 single family detached homes and 116 attached courtyard homes. All homes are single level with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths in addition to a 1 or 2 car garage. Sizes range from 986 to 2441sq.ft. Usually, homes sell from the mid $100,000s to around $400,000. The lower priced homes are the carriage homes, which are smaller and attached.
The Country Walk Manchester Amenities
At the heart of this community is a Club house, with a fitness center, billiard room, library, outdoor pool, tennis, bocce, shuffleboard, jogging & biking paths. The clubhouse is where you’ll go in order to make new friends and socialize with your neighbors. At the clubhouse, you’ll find many activities. There is also a community bus. Although Country Walk does not have a golf course, there are many public and private courses in the area. Also – the Jersey Shore beaches are a short ride away.
Transportation
Ocean County provides transportation for seniors (aged 60 and older). Ocean Ride is a shopping bus service. This operates on a set schedule, taking people to supermarkets, malls and other transportation hubs. This is a free service.
Another transportation service is Reserve-A-Ride, which provides non emergency transportation to any medical facility in Ocean County. However, a small fee isassociated with this. Additionally, you’ll need advance reservations.
