The Homes
Winding River was built in 1976, and there are 250 attached homes with either 1 or 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. However, the homes do not have garages. Home sizes are generally from 840 sq.ft. to 1008 sq.ft. The homes are attached, which means that the ownership type is condo.
The low association fees include Common Area, Exterior Maintenance, Snow Removal, Trash Removal, Mgmt Fees, Recreation Facility, Lawn Maintenance and the Community Bus.
The Clubhouse
There is a Clubhouse with a multi purpose room and Bocci courts. And when it gets warm enough, swim in the outdoor pool. From time to time, trips are planned for residents, and there are various clubs for you to join. Nearby, you can enjoy fishing, boating, golf and much much more.
Although Winding River doesn’t have a golf course, there are many courses available in Ocean County.
Transportation
The Ocean County transit system provides bus transportation throughout Ocean County. The Reserve-A-Ride Program provides non-emergency medical transportation service to seniors (age 60 and over). Reservations are needed, however, a fee is charged. And Ocean Ride has 12 local bus routes to shopping, other adult communities and more.
