Four Seasons at South Knolls is one of the two Four Seasons communities in Jackson is an Active Adult community. This gated community is in a great location because it’s close to I-195, Route 9, shopping, transportation and The Jersey Shore.  New York City and Atlantic City are less than 1.5 hours drive.

In Four Seasons South Knolls there’s a homeowners association, consequently a monthly association fee will be assessed.  However, the association provides lawn maintenance, snow removal and use of the common areas including the clubhouse. As a result, you’ll have more time for yourself because someone else takes care of those chores.

Significantly, as many other 55+ communities do, the HOA charges a one time fee to new owners, payable at closing.

The Four Seasons South Knolls Homes

Between 2004 and 2013, 883 luxurious, detached single family homes were built by K.Hovnanian. Since new construction is no longer available, the homes for sale in Four Seasons South Knolls are resales only. Originally, 10 distinctive models with between 1546 square feet and 2557 square feet were built. While most homes are single level with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, two models have either a third bedroom or a den on the main level. In addition, another model offers a loft with a third bedroom and bath. Furthermore, all homes come with a 2 car garages, and an option for the original owner was a semi finished walk up attic over the garage.

These homes are in the upper price range.

Additionally, the homes are designed to be energy efficient.  In order to obtain this goal, high efficiency furnaces and hot water heaters are standard.  Furthermore, along with nine foot ceilings ,many models feature vaulted and / or tray ceilings. Although South Knolls doesn’t have a golf course, nearby you’ll find plenty of courses in the area.

Shopping and Dining

You’ll find plenty of shopping both on Route 9 and Route 70. Nearby in Freehold is Raceway Mall, which features over 200 stores. Many fine restaurants, for both formal and casual dining, are in the immediate area. Nearby, downtown Freehold has many restaurants and has activities such as live music many times during the summer weeks.

Transportation

Major thoroughfares to travel both east and west are nearby. NJ Transit offers bus service on Route 9, there is also a Park and Ride located in Jackson. Ocean Ride also provides bus transportation within Ocean County, with 12 bus routes connecting key residential areas with popular destinations such as shopping, employment, social services and connections to other means of transportation. There is no fee for this service, however, you may want to tip the driver.

Medical Services near Four Seasons Jackson

Ocean Ride also provides non-emergency medical transport service which will take seniors to any medical facility in Ocean County. And maybe they’ll bring you back! However, a small fee is charged for this service, and you’ll need to make advance reservations.

Nearby hospitals are Monmouth Medical Center in Lakewood and Centra State in Freehold. In addition, Hackensack Meridian Health has a major facility which is only a few miles away in Jackson.
