About Manchester
Manchester is home to the Lakehurst Naval Air Station – part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst – the scene of the infamous Hindenburg disaster. The population is ~ 43,000. There’s a major section of Manchester called Whiting, which is at the south west end of the town. In fact, a major part of the population is over 55.

Ocean Ride provides bus transportation within Ocean County. 12 bus routes connect key residential areas with popular destinations such as shopping, employment, social services and connections to other means of transportation.
Medical Care
The nearest hospitals are Paul Kimball Medical Center and Community Hospital in Toms River. Ocean Ride provides door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation service to seniors (age 60 and over) and person with disabilities.
