There are 4 active adult communities in Jackson, with over 3,500 single family homes. Three of the communities,  Westlake, Four Seasons @ Metedeconk Lakes and Four Seasons at South Knolls offer both indoor and outdoor pools. However, Winding Ways only has an outdoor pool. In Westlake there’s a championship golf course.

Dining and Shopping

Many non-chain restaurants are located in Jackson NJ. Additionally, Route 9 and Route 70 are nearby, as well as downtown Freehold. Thus, there’s a wide range of dining experiences available. Routes 9 and 70 also offer shopping of all types, and a major mall in Freehold is nearby. Supermarkets and drug stores are located in Jackson, as well as many local stores.

Parks and Recreation

Jackson is home to a major tourist attraction, Six Flags Great Adventure. This theme park offers rides, entertainment, a Wild Safari and a water park. There are many parks in Jackson NJ, and golf courses are also nearby.

Commute and Transportation

East/west transportation is available via I-195, while north/south is available on nearby Route 9. NJ Transit offers bus service on Route 9, and there’s also a Park and Ride located in Jackson. Ocean Ride also provides bus transportation for senior citizens, There are 12 bus routes connecting key residential areas with popular destinations.

Medical Care

The nearest hospitals are Paul Kimball Medical Center and Centra-State Hospital in Freehold. Ocean Ride provides non-emergency medical transportation service to seniors. You’ll need reservation, however a fee will be charged.
