It’s Spring! The busiest time of the year in Real Estate. The buyers are coming out of their Winter hibernation and are looking for their new home. And the sellers are counting on their activity to get their homes sold. And then they’ll join in on the buyer activity. This happens every year and 2017 will be no different.
But wait. This year there is a difference. This year the inventory of available homes has not been keeping up with the demand. And you know how the law of supply and demand works. Therefore, there’s a lot of competition for the available homes. And what happens then? That’s right – we get into an old fashioned bidding war.
In some areas of the country up to 35% of homes are selling within the first two weeks on the market.
Many buyers are thinking that the interest rates, although slightly higher than in 2016, are at a low and will only go up. And they’re probably correct. They are also thinking that if they wait, rates will be higher and prices will be higher. And maybe the inventory selection will be lower.
So join in on the buying frenzy. And get an edge on some of the other buyers. Get an experienced Realtor to help you. Someone who knows the market.
