Covington Village, Lakewood NJ
Covington Village in Lakewood is a 55+ Active Adult, Over 55 Community. Construction started in 2006. The complex is not yet completed as more buildings were planned. Another developer is trying to build the last few buildings as non active adult rental units. It’s ideally located south of Route 70 near New Hampshire Ave because it’s close to shopping, dining,fishing, boating, golf and much much more.
The Homes
Typically, the homes in Covington Village sell between the mid $100,000’s to the mid $200,000s. The homes are in mid-rise buildings with either 1 or 2 bedrooms with 1, 1.5 or 2 baths. In fact, all community buildings have secure entry and an elevator. There is a monthly association fee which covers exterior maintenance of the buildings, lawn care, snow removal in addition to use of the clubhouse. Additionally, parking is provided in the front of each building.
The Clubhouse
Covington Village has a clubhouse with game rooms and a banquet hall. Also you’ll find a fitness area. And when the weather gets warm swim in the outdoor pool. Additionally, there is a day spa with sauna, billiards, a movie theater and a banquet hall. Residents are also provided with computer access in the business center. Bocce courts are also available.
Transportation
The Department of Transportation Services county transit system, Ocean Ride, provides bus transportation throughout Ocean County. The Reserve-A-Ride Program provides door-to-door, non-emergency medical transportation service to seniors (age 60 and over). Prior reservations are necessary, however there will be a small fee. Ocean Ride has 12 local bus routes to shopping, other adult communities and more.
